近年来，公司有色金属及矿产品、可可、石材、木材、塑料原材料、乳制品、橡胶等多项商品业务逐步发展壮大，经营规模和盈利能力不断提升，为公司的规模和效益增长做出了重要贡献，推动了公司转型升级的步伐。
目前，公司铜精矿年进口量已达到国内市场进口贸易流通量的较大份额；石材业务确立了多个主要货源国家，实现了采购—加工—销售三位一体的营销模式；矿产业务定位于我国稀缺的铬矿、锰矿和镍矿，建立了分级、分类、分地区的客户网络；木材业务不断拓展货源地，并在重点口岸建立仓储运输服务体系；塑料业务、硼化工业务、可可业务均与国际知名企业或主要地区供应商签订了独家代理协议或长期协议；公司拥有成品油（燃料油）进口资质，协议拥有储油罐和码头使用权。
